Witrand Hospital has done it again. The hospital has once more become a public health facility that is recognised by independent bodies for his excellence and this has earned Witrand a third Titanium Award.

The hospital scooped the Titanium Award for Health Facilities within the Public Sector at the 4th Titanium awards, presented at the annual Board of Health Care Funders of Southern Africa (BHF) Conference this past Monday (18th June 2018) at the Sun Park, Sun City, outside Rustenburg.

The Titanium Awards also celebrate individuals and businesses that have delivered superior services to their members and clients in the public and private sectors, facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices, promote partnerships between the public and private sectors as well as provide a platform for collaboration across the region.

Witrand Hospital has won the Titanium Award in 2015, 2017 and 2018, making it the most successful public health facility since the inception of the awards in 2014.

The Hospital has been at the forefront of ensuring that specialised health care services is advanced to another level, especially in a Government setting. Witrand has penetrated into the wider communities of Bokone Bophirima province with its best practises in intellectual disability and physical rehabilitation services.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Witrand Hospital, Naledi Lavinia Mocwaledi-Senyane said: “These are the results of a solid foundation of rendering superior specialized health care services, where individual contribution at the Hospital makes Witrand to be a force to be reckoned with. The continuous success is as a result of the hard work by all hospital employees. Without each and everyone’s individual contribution we would not be where we are. Irrespective of the challenges within the broader health care, we still persevere, as being employed at Witrand is not just a job opportunity, but a calling”.

North West Health MEC, Dr Magome Masike, congratulated the hospital on this success. “I take this opportunity to congratulate the CEO, hospital management and employees for being a cut above the rest. Witrand Specialised Hospital continues to put our province on the map. This proves that our province is blessed with the capacity to deliver quality health care services to our people. We are building on this success to ensure all our health facilities reach the highest level of health care service delivery for our people,” said MEC Masike.
