The North West Housing Corporation (NWHC) celebrated
Youth Day in style by joining learners of Molema Memorial Primary School in Seweding in Mahikeng as part of the NWHC’s Corporate Social
Investment programme.
The NWHC not only distributed sanitary towels to the Grade 6 and 7 learners,
but also distributed toiletry packs to boys in the same grades, as well as fruit and snack packs to all learners.
According to organisers of the event, this is to also highlight the needs of the boy child, who too should not be neglected.
This deed is also meant to highlight the importance of proper hygiene and education.
The event was attended by management and staff of the NWHC to the delight of learners and employees of Molema
Memorial Primary.
“We are pleased to have been part of such a wonderful initiative and appreciate the motivational speakers from the North West Housing Corporation.

The event played a huge role in educating learners about commemorating June 16 and how to contain themseselves as young people,” said the school’s Deputy Principal,

Close to 650 learners and 21 educators attended the Youth Day commemoration that was characterised by song and dance in honour of the youth of 1976.
According to management of the NWHC, celebrating June 16 with young people was a reminder of where youth involvement in fighting for quality education
started and for the entity to carry the torch to the learners, albeit in a different way.
