4 000 fatality-free shifts for Namakwa Diamonds

Namakwa Diamonds Holdings (Pty) Limited has celebrated achieving 4 000 Fatality-Free Production Shifts.

The mining company said it is “grateful and congratulates all who contributed in achieving a 4 000 Fatality-Free Production Shifts”. 

The fatality-free award was handed over by Renee Joubert of the Department of Mineral Resources’ Mine Health and Safety Council Award Scheme. The department in the North West Klerksdorp region was represented by one of its senior inspectors, Nontyatyambo Dyobiso. 

Namakwa Management said working in partnership with its employees, small-scale mining contractors and the Mineral Resources’ department, it strives for a zero-harm environment. 

“Namakwa Diamonds Holdings will continue on the same road on the way to the next milestone of 5,000 fatality-free production shifts,” the mining company said.
